My name is Kellie and I am the lab manager of UCI’s Bilingualism, Mind, and Brain lab. I recently graduated with a double major in Language Science and French from UCI and have been working with the BMB lab in various capacities for the past two years.
As a previous RA in the lab myself, I am honored to take on the role of Lab Manager and continue to work with the wonderful group of graduate students, visiting scholars, and undergraduate RAs that are in this lab. I look forward to being able to offer my support to the many exciting research projects currently underway as well as continue my own research!
Previously, I was awarded fellowships through the Partnership for International Research and Education (PIRE) and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) which allowed me to work on a project that studies rapid second language learning and the role of language immersion. I will continue my work on the aptly named Rosetta Stone Project as we continue to collect data.
Research Interest: Second Language Acquisition, Cognitive Neuroscience of Language, Language Immersion, Psycholinguistics, Bilingual Experience
