The ability to learn is fundamental to human life, but what kinds of experiences can impact and shape the way in which we learn? My research interests center around the question of how second language experience may impact new learning. My ongoing research projects utilize both event-related potentials (ERPs) and behavioral methodology. The goal of the research is to examine the impact of individual differences in language experience on the trajectory and outcome of new language learning as well as category learning.
