Research Interests
Her current research interests lie at the intersection of bilingualism, cognitive neuroscience, and working memory. Specifically, she explores how the acquisition and use of two or more
languages impact cognitive processes and brain structure, focusing on the neural and behavioral mechanisms underlying working memory capacity in bilingual individuals and employing behavioral and electrophysiological methods such as EEG and ERP analysis.
Through her research, she seeks to contribute to the growing body of empirical evidence on bilingualism, particularly from a Latin American perspective, offering insights relevant to cognitive neuroscience, educational models, and public policy development.
